Scouts who had achieved their Gold Award where recognised at an event at Parr Hall Warrington on Sunday 4th November.  Certificates were presented by the UK Chief Commissioner Tim Kidd.
In his address Tim highlighted the positive impact scouting has on the lives of individuals and communities and congratulated all present on the achievements and hard work.
Mersey Weaver District had 44 Scouts achievements recognised with the great majority being present to receive their certificate.  The following groups had  Scouts recognised.

  • 1st Newton and Kinsley
  • 1st Weston and Weston Point
  • 3rd Frodsham
  • 4th Frodsham
  • 4th Runcorn
  • 4th Widnes
  • 8th Widnes
  • 14th Widnes

Many congratulations to all and to the leaders in their work to help the young people achieve the Award, the group were well turned out and a credit to the District.
