‘It’s good to get out basically. I wasn’t too keen to go to Scouts to begin with but now it’s a good laugh. All the activities we do are fun and I’ve made loads of great mates.’

Scouting is about being with friends, as part of a team, participating fully in the adventure and opportunities of life.

The scout programme helps young people find out more about the world, encourages them to know their own abilities, understand the importance of keeping fit, and helps develop creativity. It also provides opportunities to explore their own values and attitudes. Scouts are encouraged to help buy modafinil in nigeria plan and run the troop programme.

Outdoor activities, from the traditional scouting skills of camping, cooking and hiking, to more adventurous activities like climbing, sailing and international events, are all part of the package. Achievement is recognised through the challenge and activity badge scheme.

We have a Parent’s Guide to Scouts which gives  a brief introduction to the section, outlines the types of activities young people take part in and the skills young people will gain. This guide can be downloaded click here or obtained from our District Scout Shop.
