Congratulations to 14th Widnes on their recent feature in Runcorn & Widnes Weekly News

CUBS from Widnes have enjoyed a double success in the first two competitions run in the new Mersey Weaver District.
The 14th Farnworth Methodists Cub Pack has won both the district handicraft competition and district quiz in recent weeks, competing against packs from across the newly-formed district.
At the start of the year Widnes and North West Cheshire Districts merged to form the new Mersey Weaver District.
At the handicraft competition held at the 4th Runcorn headquarters teams had to make three models based on an Olympic theme, while the quiz was held at the headquarters of 12th Widnes.
Assistant District Commissioner Dianne Gardener said: “We’ve had a really good turnout for our new district events bringing together packs from all corners of the new district, and well done to 14th Farnworth Methodists for their successes.”
