Over the weekend 10th to 12th June, 6 Scouts and Explorers from across mersey Weaver took part in two days of target sports competitions at South West Cheshire Scouts’ annual Waterloo Shoot at Milldale Scout Camp Site.

It was a fun weekend, with lots of challenging target sports competitions including air rifle, air pistol, target sprint, field target, crossbow and archery. As fun activities there was also tomahawk throwing, go-karts and a campfire circle on the Saturday evening.

Our Mersey Weaver participants competed against 250 entrants from South West Cheshire, Mid-Cheshire, Warrington East and West, Holmes Chapel, Flintshire and Shropshire. Its fair to say that it was a tough event and our Mersey Weaver entrants did themselves, their Groups/Units and our District proud with 4 of the 6 taking individuals medials home and achieved 5th place in the Under-18 team competition (consisted of aggregate score across air rifle, air pistol and field target).
