Here’s some of the Growth & Development projects we have completed, currently working on and that are in the pipeline.


Completed Projects

Recruitment Backpack

Andrew is in the process of putting together a set of useful resources that can be used for both adult and youth recruitment. This will include resources such as banners, signs, leaflets, QR codes, demo activities as well as advice what you should say to different people. Once complete, the suitcase(s) will be available for groups and district team members for community events, AGM’s, school visits etc to aid with adult and youth recruitment.

1st Halton

Andrew will be supporting the Groups with the creation of promotional materials and an open day to engage with the local community and invite new adults and young people to join the group.

10th Widnes

Andrew will be supporting 10th Widnes with the production of recruitment materials to bolster the sections’ leadership teams.

Beacon

Andrew will be supporting the Unit with Social Media and the creation of promotional materials as well as some talks at local schoolsto increase the number of young people in the unit.

12th Widnes

Andrew will be working with 12th Widnes to recruit a new Group Lead Volunteer, restart the Scout section, bolster the Cub section and support with the recruitment of Trustees. This will involve visits to local schools, running some parent/child taster sessions and engaging with the local community.

1st Ince & Elton

Andrew will be working with 1st Ince & Elton to bolster the Leadership in the Scout section and support with the recruitment of Trustees. This will involve visits to local schools, running some parent/child taster sessions and engaging with the local community plus an open day.

8th Widnes

Andrew will be supporting the Groups with Social Media and the creation of some promotional materials including improving the visibility of Scouts at their meeting place.

Windmill Hill

Andrew will be supporting the opening a new group in Windmill Hill, Runcorn starting with a Squirrel Drey and Beaver Colony.

Recruitment Workshop

Andrew will be working on a district wide project offering leaders, trustees, supporters and managers the opportunity to gain tips, tricks and insights into recruitment and retaining new volunteers for their group and section.

6th Runcorn

Andrew will be supporting the Groups with Social Media and the creation of some promotional materials including improving the visibility of Scouts at their meeting place.

Group Lead Volunteer and 14-25 Team Leader recruitment

The Programme Steering Group will be working on a district wide project focused on recruiting more line managers to ensure every volunteer leader is properly supported. The objective is to fill all vacancies and start some succession planning for Lead Volunteers who plan to step downing the near future.
