Got an interest in technology and want to use your skills to, for example:
- Help the development of young people through use of technology, e.g.
- 3D printing;
- website development;
- internet safety;
- Drone flying ;
- Coding (e.g. Sphero programming);
- Help administer some of our systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, WordPress, Woocommerce)
- Look after our IT infrastructure, networks and equipment
The Technology Team’s purpose is to transform the Scouting experience and engage young people with new and innovative activities through existing and emerging technology. We also exist to help make Scouting easier for volunteers to undertake their roles by providing Secure email, free websites for groups, an online Scout Shop, a district bookings site and provide support with systems such as Compass.
There is no need to have been involved in Scouting or Guiding before, all that is required is a willingness to give some of your time to Scouting. In return you will make friends and be able to join with others doing whatever you decide.
