This core team of Commissioners provide leadership and management across Mersey Weaver ensuring young people can access the very best opportunities in life and that they do so safely. The Senior Leadership Team are responsible for the day to day oversight of the District. We are a friendly bunch of people and welcome people approaching us for advice, support or to give valuable feedback so we can strive to do better.
Oliver Chambers
Lead Volunteer
Oliver has overall responsibility for the District. It is his role to ensure the district runs effectively and that Scouting develops in accordance with the rules and policies of The Scout Association so that young people can benefit from good quality scouting.
Yvonne Woodward
Programme Team Leader
Yvonne’s specific area of responsibility is programme support. She leads our Programme Team and various sub teams to ensure young people are getting the very best programme opportunities.

Volunteering Development Team Leader
Emma looks after the volunteer experience and journey. She works with the District’s Welcome, Learning and Awards & Recognition teams to ensure everyone feels valued and supported in their roles.

District Youth Lead
The District Youth Commissioner provides young people in the district a voice at a senior level. Ensuring that 4 – 24 year olds are involved and engaged in every decision that shapes their Scouting experience.

District Leadership Team Member
Derek’s specific area of responsibility is governance. He advises Group Trustee Boards ensuring this team are equipped with everything they need to help groups succeed and operate within the law.
