Mersey Weaver Cestrian Explorers Joseph, Kyle and 1st Halton Scout Luke competed in Waterloo 2025 Shooting Competition at Milldale Campsite on the 24th & 15th June 2025. Waterloo shooting competition is organised by South West Cheshire Scouts with over 300 other competitors from as far away as Dumbartonshire , Scotland to the North to Lincolnshire to the South participating.

MW Participants had a throughly enjoyable time and returned home in good spirits with a haul of 8 medals between our 4 competitors, showcasing their hard work, dedication, and exceptional skills in various disciplines.

  • 6 yard Springer Rifle- Bronze

In the Under 18 Team competition, Mersey Weaver (Kyle, Joseph and Luke) finished 6th out of 38 teams

This excellent performance, against other participants who compete at the national level, is a testament to the dedication and effort of our youth members who take part in our District Target Sports programme and particularly those who participate in the District Shooting Squad monthly training sessions run by our Target Sports Activity Team. Over the past few months, they have honed their skills and sharpened their focus, culminating in this outstanding achievement.
