Youth Challenge Fund (UK)

Youth Groups in the UK can apply for grants of up to £2,500 to work on specific themes with youth groups in Germany. The funding which is being made available through the Youth Challenge Fund aims to give young people the opportunity to enhance their international experience and intercultural awareness in a creative, practical and enjoyable way.
The type of themes supported can include (but are not limited to):

  • Culture and society;
  • Music, dance and drama;
  • Global issues;
  • Environment;
  • Multimedia and ICT;
  • and Sport and outdoor activities.

The Youth Challenge Fund is open exclusively to youth groups (and their leaders) in the UK and Germany and is aimed at children and young people up to the age of 25. The closing date for applications is the 31st October 2012 ….

Funding for Group Music Making Activities (UK)

The Michael Tippett Musical Foundation, the charitable Trust established by the composer to encourage the music of the future, has announced that it is open for applications. Funding of between £500 and £4,000 is available for the development of group music making, especially involving young people. Projects in and out of schools or in community situations will be considered. The Trustees will consider applications for first-time initiatives as well as the development of existing buy modafinil forum projects.

BT Internet Rangers – Student Awards (UK)

Telecommunications company, British Telecom (BT) has announced that its BT Internet Rangers Award scheme is now open for applications. The scheme rewards young people aged up to 16 who have taught an older person or group basic computer and internet skills. Four national winners will each receive £100 worth of IT vouchers and an Ipad or a laptop. And the lucky overall winner will receive an additional £100 of vouchers.
Applications need to be submitted by 5.00pm on Friday 2nd November 2012.

Forest Education Initiative – Partnership Fund (UK)

The Forest Education Initiative Partnership Fund is specifically to support the work of local groups known as Forest Education Initiative (FEI) clusters. It can provide grants of between £201 and £5,000 for specific activities, which enhance the overall objectives of the FEI. These are to help develop among young people a greater understanding of trees, woodlands, forest management, forest
products and wood as a sustainable resource. There will be two or three bidding rounds each year depending on availability of funding.
The deadlines are normally the 1st February, 1st June and 1st October.
