Wellbeing Weekend

July 5 - July 6

As you may know, the Mersey Weaver Youth Shape Team have been leading the way with a mental health and wellbeing initiatives to enable all our members to be aware of the importance mental health and ways in which we can have fun along the way. 
Back in 2022 we held an event to bring young people in Mersey Weaver together, connect with each other, take notice, give back to the community, learn new skills and be active outdoors and we are pleased to announce that the Wellbeing Weekend will be returning in 2025!
The event takes place over two days but young people will attend in their section on either the Saturday or Sunday as follows:
Saturday – Cubs, Scouts and Explorers
Sunday – Squirrels, Beavers and invited guests from Halton Family Hubs
The event is fully funded and there is no cost for young people to attend. Priority places will go to young people from new sections in the underrepresented communities we have opened in the last two years to introduce them to the rest of the district and help them to feel part of our community.
Activities for will take place outdoors and include things like:
Climbing  Wall
Sensory Trail 
Crate Stacking 
Escape Room
Obstacle course 
Nerf Target Sprint / Target Sports
Drumming Workshop
Yoga
Connect Café and Pizza making
Guide Dogs
Crafts (Pyrography, etc) 
Campfire
Ticketing
Tickets will be released in stages on the following dates:
Wave 1 (1 May) – Young People from Sections who have opened as part of the Underrepresented Communities Fund / Uniformed Youth Fund as well as invited guests from a Halton family hub.
Wave 2 (1 June) – Other Young People from all sections in Mersey Weaver
Please note, Young attending invited from a Halton Family Hub must attend with a parent present. Please book on using the appropriate ticket type.
Places are limited and if you can no longer attend please let us know via email. If Tickets sell out we will operate a waiting list.
Staggered Arrivals and Pick-Ups
To ease congestion, we ask that you please where possible follow the below arrival and pick up times. There is a strict one way system in place and you should enter via the top gate and exit via the bottom gate.
Please note that on Sunday, The A55 into Helsby from Frodsham will be closed so please allow extra time to get there or go via the backroads.

On arrival, please follow the instructions of the Car Park marshals and walk down the ramp and check in. Once checked in, you will be given more information about the day and put into your teams.
Car Parking
Please note that there will be a one-way system in place; in through the top gate and out from main gate.
Please car share where possible to reduce congestion.
Drop and go, parents please don’t hang around.
Minibus Transport
We are offering a limited number of people from Wave 1 areas travel to the event by Minibus. Please make sure you are at the bus stop for Departure it will not wait for you and equally we can’t wait for parents if they are late picking up.

Small amount of money to buy cakes etc from our Kandersteg contingent (Optional)
