District Target Sports – Open Shoot Session 1

The Target Sports ASU are running an “Open Shoot” session which any Scout, Explorer or Young Leader can participate in. The idea behind the sessions are to give young people in the district the opportunity to have a taster of the activity. If interested they can attend the shoot regularly and train for the upcoming District and County Shooting competitions.
Participation will count towards the Master at Arms badge.
Format
There will be 6 one hour sessions run throughout the day:

09:15am – 10:15am
10:30am – 11:30am
11:45am – 12:45pm
1:45pm – 2:45pm
3pm – 4pm
4:15pm – 5:15pm

Each session can accommodate 6 participants. Each person will be limited to one time slot in order to give as many people as possible an opportunity to take part.
Who Can Attend?
Any Scout, Explorer or Young Leader from the District. You can come alone and make some new friends or with some friends from the same troop/unit. There is no requirement for you to bring a leader with you but they are of course welcome.
What To Wear/Bring
Comfortable clothing but if you’d like to wear a necker we’ll be wearing ours!
You may wish to bring a drink and snack with you.
Future Shoots
It is intended to loosely organise an “Open Shoot” session on the second Saturday of every month (apart from August, September and October).
In September there will be the opportunity for Group’s and Explorer Units to take part in a District Shooting competition. The intention is then to put a team together to take part in the County competition in October.
