District Cub Camp Competition

This year we are holding a Camp Competition for teams of four Cub Sixers or Seconders who are ready to move up to Scouts. The Competition will include an overnight stay and training and practice of skills used in Scouts.  It is a great chance to mix with Sixers and Seconders from other groups in the District and have fun!
Activities & Skills
It will be an action packed weekend full of activities such as: Firelighting, Backwoods Cooking, Patrol Cooking, Shelter Building, Erecting Tents, First Aid, Pioneering and more!
What to Wear/Bring
Cubs should bring suitable outdoor clothing for June.  This includes:

Clothing

Waterproof Jacket
Waterproof Trousers
Insulated Jacket / Warm coat
Baselayer
Polyester Fleece (& spare)
Synthetic Trousers
Synthetic Liner Sock
Hiking Socks
Hiking Boots
Warm Hat
Gloves
Buff
Group Necker

In a Rucksack:

Water Bottle (minimum 0.5l)
Headtorch
3 Season Sleeping bag
Insulating Mat
Mug, Plate/Bowl
Spork/Cutlery
Personal First Aid Kit

Cost
Cost for the weekend includes all camping fees, material and food. Parents will need to drop their Cub off at Queen Charlottes Wood.
Note: Cubs will not necessarily be supervised by their own Cub Leader, it may be a leader from another group.  Please let your leader know if you are booking this event so they can ensure you are fully informed on who will be responsible for your Cub.
