We are incredibly proud that Chris Jordan who is an Assistant Scout Leader at 4th Frodsham is one of five leaders who has been selected to represent The Scouts at the London Marathon.

Chris has to raise £2000 all of which will go towards supporting groups in the most deprived / disadvantaged areas of the UK.

Chris said

I am running the London Marathon for the first time in April for Scouts UK. I have been in Scouts all my life and so when the opportunity came up, to run the London marathon for Scouts I jumped at the chance. As a child with severe asthma, Scouts had a big impact on my life as it built my confidence and pushed me to do things in life that I never would have before and to step out of my comfort zone. Working as a Scout leader today I still enjoy seeing young people develop and step up to challenges as I did.
