Volunteers’ Week is a time to say thanks for the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering.
In Mersey Weaver we are extremely fortunate to have over 500 people in all sorts of voluntary roles making it possible to for young people to gain important skills for life. We’re incredibly proud that we have such dedicated teams of volunteers and therefore it is with great pride that we have been able to recognise the achievements of another whopping 31 people with formal good service awards. These awards don’t come lightly and it’s a strong indication of the talent, time and character of our Scout family so thank you and congratulations to every single one of the award recipients listed below.
We would normally have been celebrating this weekend at Queen Charlotte’s Wood but due to the ongoing circumstances the opportunity to present these awards formally with a certificate and badge will sadly have to wait.
We hope to continue to be able to recognise many more adults who have made such a valiant effort over the last 18 months with even more good service awards and some special items of recognition later in the year, till then, thank you to every one who volunteers in one way or another in Mersey Weaver from the section leaders to the minibus drivers, gardeners to the trustees – you’re all amazing and never cease to inspire!
