ADVENTUROUS Scouts, Beavers and Cubs are planning to trek across Cheshire to raise £10,000 to buy a new set of wheels.
Members of 4th Frodsham Scouts are hoping to raise thousands of pounds during the next few months to go toward a new minibus to transport them to camping trips and meetings across the country.
The fundraising appeal was launched after group leaders were forced to replace their old minibus after years of wear and tear and excessive use left the vehicle’s engine struggling to transport the young members.
Despite raising more than £5,000 during a sponsored trek up Snowdon in July this year, the Cubs, Beavers and Scouts are still trying to raise thousands of pounds to buy a vehicle so they can keep the 70 youngsters enjoying exploring the countryside.

Now, with more than £4,000 still to raise the youngsters, leaders, parents and organisers are preparing to walk the length of the Sandstone Trail and are appealing to businesses and celebrities to support their fundraising challenge.
Gary Spencer, treasurer of 4th Frodsham Scouts, who meet in Hillside Road, explained the plan was to divide up the trail to make it more manageable for the seven- to 14-year-olds who want to join in the challenge buy modafinil online in canada next year.
“We want to get as many people as we can involved in the walk,” said Garry, who has been rallying the support of celebrities over social networking site Twitter.
“So that the children can get involved, we are thinking about dividing it up into stages. I am hoping we can get celebs donating or at least telling others about what we are trying to do.”
“The minibus is used for trips to camps across Cheshire and Wales about four or five times a year.”
“We need one with quite a lot of seats in it but we cannot have a minibus which is too tall because it just won’t fit where we need to park it.”
“If we cannot raise the money by donations and fundraising then we will have to go into the group funds which we collected through events and other avenues, but that would take money away from activities which the kids love.”
